Plastic molding machine setter

Your work schedule:

  • Monday to Friday;
  • From 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM;
  • 41.25 hours/week;
  • Full-time, permanent.

The challenge we offer you:

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, the person in this position is responsible for assembling and disassembling molds and tooling on machines and processing equipment. They adjust molding parameters and ensure their optimal settings. They oversee the start and stop of production, troubleshoot, analyze, and solve molding problems. They participate in mold trials and control production by intervening on non-conformities. They may also perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment.

Technical:

  • Preparation and adjustment of injection machines and related equipment;
  • Installation of molds and connection of peripheral equipment;
  • Adjust parameters and start production to ensure part conformity;
  • Monitor and adjust parameters during production to correct defects;
  • Collaborate with the quality department to document parameter changes.

Maintenance:

  • Maintain equipment, clean, and polish molds;
  • Perform minor machine repairs and maintain filters;
  • Ensure the workspace is clean and organized.

Quality:

  • Participate in establishing performance and quality standards;
  • Optimize production cycles and improve system performance;
  • Effectively manage resins.

Health and Safety:

  • Stay vigilant for potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures;
  • Train employees on the safe use of equipment and ensure safety standards are followed;
  • Ensure ergonomic working positions to minimize the risk of accidents.

IT and Management:

  • Input and manage production data (work time, breaks, start/end of production);
  • Participate in team meetings to ensure effective communication and information flow.

What we’re looking for:

  • Good knowledge of the French language (spoken and written);
  • Excellent knowledge of adjusting plastic molding machines;
  • Good problem-solving techniques;
  • Basic mechanical knowledge;
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
